Fortunately for Us, Both are Abundant Here and Just as the Sunshine Fills our Mind, Body, and Soul with Elation - So does the Simple Calmness and Song of the Ring Neck Dove. They just Seem to have it All Together, Eluding Great Patience and Enjoyment for Life with Such a Soothing Call. Formerly They were Thought to be a Lost Species, but at Least Here in our Area they Appear to be Doing Quite Well and Most Productive! It seems these Light Feathered Subtle Birds Thrive in Our Natural Surroundings of Indian Pass! If this is Not a Ring-Neck Turtle Dove - Just what is He/She?
Subtle is a Word that Comes to Mind With the Change of Interest Rates this Week. First, Let me Begin by Apologizing for the Delay in Publishing This Week’s g3 Blog! Those Who know me, Realize I am a Multi-Tasking Perfectionist and With the Crazy Weekend and Monday I’ve had, I Just Couldn’t Devote the Time Needed to Fine Tune “My” Blog! I knew I would get to it before the Week’s End, so Here it Is!! They say Patience is a Virtue - Thank you all for Being Just That - Virtuous!
Funny, how Sometimes it takes just a Little Thing to make a Big Difference! As I was driving to work this morning, following a sweet little, Slow Moving - “Snowbird” Vehicle, I Happen to Notice something that I have passed by Time and Time Again and Never Paid Atention to – Moss on a Palm Tree! This is just “Not Typical” of a Palm Tree - Moss is Usually Found Hanging Among Those Ancient Oak Trees seen Lying throughout the South! Guess I felt Safe Looking So Closely at my Surroundings, as we were Driving at a Snail’s Rate of Speed! Although, It did Make me Realize that there was a Pleasurable Comfort in Slowing Down to Enjoy the Little Things along the Way. I Urge Everyone to Try this, as it is Quite Relaxing and Fool Proof when it comes to Avoiding a Speeding Ticket Here Along Florida’s Forgotten Coast!

Ever Thought about What it Takes to Be Your Very Best? I thought about Writing a bit about this the First Week of 2010, Just Because of “Resolution Time” and ALL, but As You Know, I had A Few Other things to Cover that Week. Although Winter has Only Just Begun, All I can Say is - It IS Literally FREEZING Here Along Florida’s Forgotten Coast! I Guess the Only Warm Spot in the Country is in Front of the Fireplace!! This Morning I HAD to stop and get Gas and If I hadn’t known any Better I would have thought I was in a Sleepy Little SKI Town instead of Our Usually “Mild” Mannered Town of Port St. Joe! Everyone was Bundled from Head to Toe and Really Moving Slow!! The Feeling of Cold has to Weigh In on Our Senses, Leaving us “Coastal Locals” a Bit Sluggish to say the Least!! We Even Had a Couple from Canada come into the Office and Say “Wow, It’s a Little Cold down Here! They were getting Ready to load their Sailboat and Head to South Florida - Seeking Warmer Weather. Go Figure!!
On My Ride to Work this Morning I had to Turn Around for a Picture of a Shrimp Boat that Seemed So Near the Shore He could have Thrown Me Some Shrimp! Shrimping Must be good This time of Year, as I know the Feeling on that Boat has to be That of a Tremendous Chill!
Despite the Freezing Temps, Some Buyers Still Came to the Closing Table to Purchase Their Piece of “Old Florida” Here Along the Forgotten Coast! Although, this is One of Our Lowest Weeks Yet With only 5 Properties SOLD - Remember those Temperatures Have Made Us Slow Down a Bit! 1 Home and 1 Lot Sold in Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Two 1st Tier Lots on Cape San Blas, and One Home Sold on St. George Island. Of the Sales, 4 Were Due to a Distressed/Short Sale/REO/Foreclosure Situation. No Sales Were Bought with Cash this Week - Guess it was Finally Time to Pay Santa!

Don’t Worry - Be Happy! You know Sometimes in Life we have to Come Face to Face with CHANGE! This Day Here at g3, We Are Facing a Great Change. One of our Most Precious Members, Sheiletta, is Leaving us for Bigger and Better Things! She is Pursuing a Career in Law and will be Leaving Today for Orlando where she will be Attending The University of Central Florida’s Graduate Program. We are Going to MISS Her Greatly, but Will Always be in Touch, As we Continue to Wish Her Well - With Much Love & Happiness! - While She Becomes one of the Finest Attorneys Ever!
Speaking of Happiness - You Know Florida Was Recently Voted A “Happy State” According to Yahoo! The Question was: Have you ever Wondered if you would be Happier in Sunny Florida or in a Snow Covered State such as Minnesota? That is Usually a “No Brainer”, but as I write this Farewell today, We Here in the Sunshine State are Facing Record Low Temperatures! Talk about Irony at it’s Finest!! Some Around here May Even see a Snow Flurry or Two!!
Just Want to Make a Comment on Property Sales of 2009 - They Were Really Remarkable Compared to the Year Before! Finally, We May be Working our Way Back to a More Healthy and Sustainable Real Estate Market! Here Along our Stretch of Florida’s Forgotten Coast - We “Usually” Still have the Warm Sunshine, Blue Waters, and Fresh Air Year Round - So We Should be Expecting More & More Happy Buyers and Sellers.. Not to Mention those Visitors who RETURN Time and Time Again to Relax and Rejuvenate in This Most Special Place!! That Leaves Me with One Final Thought. Thinking of Returning, Once She Has That Law Degree, I Wonder What Sheiletta will do??!
Nevetheless, We know She will be Back, so We’re not going to Be Sad as She Leaves, but Just Smile Because She was Here!! Have a Safe Journey - We Await Your Return!
